Why get a joiner to fit your windows
A replacement window is a hole in the wall made good twice: once when the old frame comes out and again when the new one goes in. Openings in older North East houses are rarely square, so the new frame has to be packed and fixed true, the sill has to sit level and shed water away from the wall, and the gaps have to be sealed properly rather than hidden under a thick bead of mastic.
Then there is the inside. Most fitters leave you a new frame and a strip of torn plaster round it. Alex is a joiner, so the window board and the making good are part of the same job, not a second trade you have to find afterwards.

A deposit secures the booking. Windows are made to measure, so the fitting date is set around the delivery.

Out with the old, in with the new
Old frames out, new ones fitted true and sealed, then the window boards and making good.

Check it and hand it over
Every window opened, closed and locked with you, and the area left clean before the final balance is paid.

Do you supply the windows?
Yes. Alex supplies and fits PVC windows, and the quotation covers the windows, the fitting and the finishing inside.
Do you do the window boards as well?
Yes. New window boards and the making good round the frame are part of the job, because Alex is a joiner first.
Can you do the doors at the same time?
Yes. French doors, composite doors and PVC doors are on the door fitting page, and it is one quotation if you want both.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes. Every job carries a 12 month guarantee on the workmanship.
